How long does it take to get a tax refund?

I recently filed my taxes and am wondering how long it typically takes to receive a tax refund. I submitted my return via e-file in June, and I haven’t received the refund yet.

I’d really appreciate it if anyone could share their recent experience. How long does it take to get a tax refund? Also, did you receive it by direct deposit or by check?
