What exactly counts as a business day for banking and official work? Is a business day based on working hours, or does it simply mean Monday to Friday excluding weekends and bank holidays?

Business day is normally a normal working day, which is normally a Monday to Friday day with exclusion of weekends and holidays. At least a majority of the banks and offices make up a business day to run according to the normal working hours, usually around 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but it may be different depending on the company or country.

A business day is typically Monday to Friday, with the exclusions being put on the public holidays and it is normally pertinent to regular working hours. In payments and banking, a business day comes as early as the morning until late afternoon, depending on the cut off time of the operating institutions.

A business day is typically any weekday—Monday through Friday—excluding public holidays. Standard business hours usually run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the local time zone, making a business day about eight hours. However, definitions can vary by industry and country.

Business day normally ranges between 8 and 9 hours, which are the normal office hours (e.g. 9:00 AM -5:00 PM). It is any day between Monday and Friday in which the banks and government offices are open with the exclusion of weekends and government holidays.
