What is business casual?

Hi everyone, I have a question: What exactly is business casual? I’ve heard it’s less formal than traditional business attire but still professional. From what I understand, men might wear dress shirts, slacks, or chinos, and women could wear blouses, skirts, dresses, or tailored pants. Sneakers, t-shirts, and jeans are usually too casual. Can anyone share examples or tips on dressing appropriately for business casual in different workplaces?

Payroll tax rates vary by country. In the U.S., it's typically 15.3% of wages—7.65% paid by the employee and 7.65% by the employer for Social Security and Medicare.

Business casual is not very formal, but still needs to be professional, this is to say skip the jeans, t-shirts and sneakers, dress shirts, chinos, or blouses with fitted pants or skirts.

Business casual is a professional dress code that is less formal than business professional but still polished, with specific clothing items often including slacks, khakis, skirts, blouses, collared shirts, and sweaters. The exact definition varies by workplace, so it's best to consider the industry, company culture, and consult with human resources or observe colleagues to ensure compliance. Generally, it excludes overly casual wear like T-shirts, jeans, or athletic wear.
