Can someone explain what is certified payroll in simple terms?
When is certified payroll required for projects?
What information must be included in certified payroll reports?

Certified payroll is basically a weekly report that shows workers on a project are being paid fairly and according to the law. It’s usually required for government or public projects, and it lists details like who worked, their job role, hours, pay rate, etc and a signed confirmation that the info is correct

Certified payroll is an elaborate payroll report that is necessary in government- funded projects. It ensures that the workers receive the prevailing wages and or adheres to the labor laws.

Certified payroll is a detailed report contractors submit on certain public works projects verifying that workers are paid the required prevailing wages and benefits. It includes employee details, job classifications, hours worked, wage rates, and deductions to ensure compliance with government labor standards and transparency in payment practices.
