Hey everyone! 😊 I often hear students talk about getting financial aid for college, but I’m not exactly sure what it includes. Can someone explain what financial aid is, how it works, and what types of aid are available? Also, how do you apply for it?

Money given to students to assist with educational costs such as books and tuition is known as financial aid. It comes from a variety of sources, such as the government and educational institutions, and can take the shape of loans that need to be paid back, grants, or scholarships that don't.

Financial aid refers to funds which are used to assist students to cover college fees such as tuition, books and housing. It may be on the part of the government, colleges, or voluntary organizations. Probably, grants (free money), scholarships (merit or need), loans (pay back later), and work-study (part-time campus jobs) are some of the types.

In order to apply, the majority of students complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on-line. After receiving it, you will know what type of assistance you can get.
