What is non current asset?

Hi everyone! I’m learning about accounting and came across the term non-current asset. I understand it has something to do with long-term resources a business uses, but I’m not fully clear on the definition. Could anyone share an easy explanation or examples?

A non-current asset is a long-term investment or resource that a company expects to use for more than one year. These assets are not intended for immediate sale and include property, equipment, intangible assets, and long-term investments, contributing to a company's future economic benefits.

A non-current asset is a long-term asset that a company expects to hold for more than one year, such as property, plant, and equipment, intangible assets like patents, and long-term investments. These assets are not easily converted into cash and are used to generate revenue and support operations over an extended period. Also Read: tangible asset

Non-current assets are long-term assets that a company uses for more than one fiscal year and cannot be easily converted to cash. They are recorded on the balance sheet and include tangible assets like buildings and machinery, as well as intangible assets such as patents and goodwill. Examples include real estate, vehicles, equipment, long-term investments in other companies, and intellectual property. You can also understand about current assets.
