Can someone explain what is sharia law in simple terms? I’ve seen different interpretations online and would like to understand its meaning, sources, and how it is applied in different countries. Is it purely religious, legal, or both?

Sharia law is the religious legal and moral framework in Islam, based on the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (Hadith), and it guides Muslims in daily life, including prayer, charity, family matters, business dealings, and personal behavior; its interpretation and application vary widely across different countries and cultures.

Sharia law is basically a set of religious guidelines in Islam that come from the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, covering things like daily behavior, family matters, business ethics, and moral conduct. It’s not a single fixed legal system; how it’s interpreted and applied can vary a lot between countries and communities, and in many places it’s only used for personal or family matters rather than as full state law.
