I need to process a transaction soon and noticed Veterans Day is coming up. Are banks closed on veterans day, and does this affect direct deposits or online transfers as well?

Yes — most banks in the United States are closed on Veterans Day (November 11) because it’s a federal holiday. Physical branches of major banks like Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo and others typically do not operate in person on that day. However, ATMs, online banking and mobile apps still work normally, so you can access your accounts digitally even though branches are shut.
