How many credit cards should i have?

I’m trying to get a better handle on my credit and overall finances, and I keep seeing different opinions about the “right” number of credit cards to have. Some people say one or two is enough, while others seem to have ten or more. What’s a reasonable number of credit cards to carry? Does having more cards actually help your credit score, or does it make things harder to manage? I’m curious what’s worked for you and what factors I should consider before opening any new accounts.

There is no one "right" number of credit cards to have, as it depends on your capability to take them under control and your financial aims. For the majority of consumers, a handful of credit cards, that is two to three, would be an ideal trend that suits their needs and also makes sure that they do not get into financial trouble, provided that they are always on top of their payments and are not incurring any debt. More experienced users might carry more cards, while less experienced ones should start with one or two.
