How many working days in a year?

For workforce planning and salary calculations, I need to estimate how many working days in a year. Assuming a typical Monday to Friday schedule, what number do most companies use for annual calculations?

To calculate working days in a year, you can use the formula: total number of days - (365 - weekend days). Assuming a 5-day workweek with 52 weeks, there are 260 working days. However, this can vary depending on your location's public holidays. For instance, US has around 10 federal holidays, reducing the total number of working days to around 249.

To calculate working days in a year, first determine the number of days in a year (365 for non-leap years, 366 for leap years) and then subtract weekends (Sat and Sun) and any holidays. For example, if there are 25 holidays in a year, the total working days would be: - 365 (non-leap year) - (5*52) - 25 = 220 - 366 (leap year) - (5*52) - 25 = 221

There are usually 260–262 working days in a year. This is based on 365 days, minus 104 weekend days (52 weeks × 2 days). Public holidays may reduce the total depending on your country.
