How to make a budget?

Hi everyone, I want to start managing my money better but I’ve never made a budget before.
What’s the easiest way to create a monthly budget and actually stick to it?
Any beginner-friendly tips would be really helpful.

To make a budget, calculate your monthly income and list all expenses, including fixed and variable costs. Categorize spending, then compare total expenses to income. Set realistic limits and prioritize essentials, savings, and debt payments. Track spending regularly and adjust as needed to stay within your financial goals.

Here’s a simple way to make a budget:
  1. List your income – all money you earn each month.
  2. Track expenses – include bills, groceries, transportation, and extras.
  3. Categorize spending – fixed (rent, utilities) vs. variable (food, entertainment).
  4. Set limits – decide how much to spend in each category.
  5. Save first – aim for at least 10–20% of income for savings or emergencies.
  6. Review regularly – adjust your budget monthly to stay on track.

Track your income and expenses, list essentials (rent, food, bills), set savings goals, and limit spending on non-essentials. Use a simple rule like 50/30/20 (needs/wants/savings) and review monthly to adjust.

To make a budget:

  1. List monthly income.
  2. Track fixed expenses (rent, bills).
  3. Add variable expenses (food, gas).
  4. Subtract expenses from income.
  5. Set savings goals.
  6. Adjust spending to stay within limits.

Review monthly and refine as needed.
