Is honey a scam?

Hey everyone, I’ve been seeing mixed opinions online and wanted to ask directly — is honey a scam or actually legit? Some users say it helps save money, while others claim it doesn’t work as expected. Has anyone here tested it?

Honey isn’t exactly a scam, but it’s not as great as it’s often advertised. It’s a real browser extension (owned by PayPal) that can apply coupon codes and sometimes help you save money. However, many users report that it doesn’t always find the best deals and may prioritize partner coupons. There’s also criticism about how it earns money through affiliate links, sometimes taking credit for purchases. Overall, it’s legit but a bit overhyped—useful occasionally, but not something you should rely on for the best savings.

Honey is not a scam as such, but it has not been without controversy. It is a valid application which locates coupons and cashback and it does save money. But, according to the reports, it can substitute affiliate links, and not necessarily display the finest offers. Due to these practices, there are other groups of people that find it to be misleading, but not illegal. It is tricky, and one should compare deals by hand.

PayPal Honey isn’t a scam, it’s a legitimate tool that finds coupon codes and cashback deals. However, it has faced criticism for not always showing the best discounts and for how it handles affiliate commissions and user data. While it’s generally safe to use, it’s smart to double-check deals yourself instead of relying on it completely.

Honey is legit but controversial; it may not show best deals and can redirect commissions, raising transparency and trust concerns for users.
