What does disposed mean in court?

I checked a case status online and saw disposed. Can someone explain what does disposed mean in court? Does it mean the case is finished, dismissed, or decided by the judge?

Disposed in a court context means a case has been formally ended, either by a judge's decision, a settlement, or withdrawal by the parties involved. It can also refer to an asset being sold or given away, indicating its former value has been removed from the company's balance sheet. Disposal is typically recorded as a loss or gain in financial reports.

In court, disposed means that a legal case has been completed or resolved, and the court has finished dealing with it. This can happen in different ways, such as a judge giving a final judgment, the parties reaching a settlement, the case being dismissed, or the charges being dropped. Once a case is marked as disposed, it means the court has closed the matter and no further action is required in that particular case unless it is appealed.

Disposed in court usually means the case has been completed and the judge has made a decision or the matter has been closed. It doesn’t always mean it was dismissed, just that the court has finished dealing with it.
