I’ve been reading up on the CFO job description and wanted to get some real-world insights from this community.
What exactly does a Chief Financial Officer do on a daily basis? Is their role more focused on financial strategy, budgeting, risk management, or something else entirely? How involved are they in the overall business operations and decision-making process

A CFO, or Chief Financial Officer, is a senior executive responsible for managing a company's financial actions, including financial planning, reporting, and analysis.

The usual job description of a CFO (Chief Financial Officer) is to monitor financial strategy within a company, plans and reports. The tasks are associated with the budgeting, cash flow and investments, regulation compliance, financial data analysis, controlling business, and leading finance departments. Leadership requires provision of growth opportunities as well as the management of risks to the executives and this is done by the CFO too.

A Chief Financial Officer (CFO) oversees a company’s financial strategy, planning, and reporting. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The CFO also advises on investment decisions, cost control, and financial performance. They collaborate with executives to drive growth and maintain the organization's overall financial health.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is in charge of the future financial planning, future reporting, budgeting and risk management, and strategic financial choices of a firm. The CFO is the key leader who is involved in the establishment of the financial health, keeping the relationship with the investors, handling auditing activities, and, in many cases, establishing the long-term business strategies.
