What is communism?

I’m trying to understand different political systems. What is communism, and how does it differ from other systems like capitalism? Some simple examples would really help.

Communism is a political and economic arrangement where property and resources are not owned by individuals but by a group of people. It aims at the establishment of a society that is classless and where equals share wealth. Ideally, the government allocates resources to satisfy the needs of the people and therefore inequality is minimized, and the divide between the rich and the poor is closed

Communism is a system where things like land and businesses are owned by everyone together, aiming for equality, while capitalism lets individuals own things and earn profits; think of it like sharing everything in a group vs running your own business and keeping what you make.
