What is manufacturing experience

Can someone please explain what is manufacturing experience? I’m trying to understand its importance and how it applies in a business context.

Experience in manufacturing entails hands-on experience in product creation—such as in a factory setting, operating a machine, building or assembling a product or product parts, or managing a production line. Experience may encompass experience gained from exposure to manufacturing, such as working in quality control or process improvement or even experience in safety.
