What is pope's salary?

What is the Pope’s salary, and does the Pope receive a regular paycheck? I’m curious how living expenses and financial needs are managed by the Vatican.

The Pope is not a paid employee. His Vatican covers his living costs, accommodation, food, traveling, and medical bills since he is the head of the Catholic Church. He might be allowed to use funds as a charitable activity, but not his own.

The Pope does not have a salary. As the leader of the Catholic Church, his Vatican pays for his living expenses, lodging, meals, travel, and medical care. He may be permitted to utilise money for philanthropic purposes, but not for personal use.

The Pope does not receive a regular salary like most jobs. As head of the Catholic Church and a sovereign leader of Vatican City, his living expenses—housing, food, travel, healthcare, security, etc.—are fully covered by the Vatican rather than paid as a traditional paycheck. Some sources say the papacy is theoretically tied to a monthly amount (often cited around €30,000 or roughly $30,000 /month), but popes typically don’t take that salary and may donate it or use it for charity.
