Can someone explain who are the Big 4 in the accounting industry?
I know the names come up a lot, but what services do they provide?
Why are they considered so influential globally?

The Big 4 are Deloitte, PwC, EY and KPMG. They offer professional services such as audit, accounting, tax, consulting, risk advisory, financial advisory and business strategy to businesses and governments across the globe.

The Big 4 are Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG. They provide audit, consulting, tax, and advisory services to businesses worldwide.

They mainly provide audit, accounting, tax, consulting, and advisory services to companies, governments, and large organizations, helping them manage finances, comply with regulations, improve performance, and make strategic business decisions.

The biggest networks of professional services in the world are the Big 4 (Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG). They offer audit (checking the financial records), tax compliance, and consulting (business strategy and technology) to large corporations. They serve as financial intermediaries of the globe, because they provide transparency to the market, and they facilitate businesses to navigate through complicated regulations.

Frankly speaking, Big 4 and their primary auditors, PwC, EY, and KPMG, deal mostly with huge corporations and governments and their auditing, taxes, consulting, and financial advice. They are so powerful as most of the largest business in the world depends on them hence their report and opinion will carry weight.

The Big 4 refers to the four largest global accounting and professional services firms: Deloitte, PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), EY (Ernst & Young), and KPMG. They primarily provide audit and assurance services (checking companies’ financial statements), tax services (helping with tax planning and compliance), and consulting/advisory services (advising businesses on strategy, technology, risk, and operations). They work with large corporations, governments, and organizations around the world.
